The AcrobatAnt was traveling a lot over the past few days. David Downing had his oldest son graduating from the Art Institute of Chicago. Along the way there he had to pick up his other son from the Kansas City Art Institute. So the little guy tagged along to see the sites and shout out for the graduating son. The Downing family is back home now but the next time you see David ask him about his trip… it had it’s share of ups and Downings.
- The Ant stopped at the Kansas City Art Institute to pick-up David’s son Grant from his first year of classes there. He passed!
- The Nelson-Atkins Museum, which is across the street from Kansas City Art Institute. Badminton anyone?
- The Ant stands amongst a bronze installation at KCAI…feets don’t fail me now.
- The Ant goes to Chicago to see Cole graduate with the 143rd graduating class from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Jay Pritzker Pavillion at Millenium Park.
- The Ant is full of pomp and circumstance.
- The Ant is queuing up for his turn to walk across the stage. Kind of anticlimactic, after four years, don’t you think?
- David’s son is a little retrospective after the ceremony – probably wondering how he’ll make a living with a BFA. No, that’s the Ant thinking that.
- The Ant stops off at the Chicago Tribune building for a break after walking the Magnificent Mile. Short legs tend to equal more walking.
